Scott Lane, CLTD has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Scott started their career in the US Army as a Captain in Field Artillery and served for almost a decade. Following their military service, they joined CEVA Logistics as a Solutions Design Manager, where they worked for over a decade. Scott then moved on to W&O Supply as the Director of Technology and later joined PenserSC Inc. as the Vice President of Supply Chain Services. Scott also has experience in academia, teaching supply chain management courses as an Adjunct Professor at both Lake City Community College and Florida State College at Jacksonville. Scott is currently working as the Chief Information Officer at Beaver Street Fisheries. Throughout their career, they have been involved in various areas such as logistics technology strategy, lean procedures implementation, quality management, and transportation and warehouse operations.
Scott Lane, CLTD, holds a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Information Systems from Webster University, which they obtained from 1992 to 1994. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Aviation Management from Boise State University, completing their studies from 1982 to 1985. Earlier, they attended the University of Idaho from 1980 to 1982, focusing on Business Administration and Management, although they did not obtain a degree in that field.
Scott Lane has also obtained several certifications throughout their career. In December 2016, they became Certified in Logistics, Transportation, and Distribution (CTLD) from APICS. In September 2016, they achieved certification in Sales & Operation Planning (S&OP) also from APICS. Scott obtained the Seafood Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) certification from the Association of Food and Drug Officials in April 2013. In September 2010, they became Certified in Transportation and Logistics (CTL) through APICS. In addition, they acquired a Lean 6 Sigma Green Belt certification from the University of North Florida in May 2009.
