Barbara Callahan

Special Education Teacher at Beaverton School District

Barbara Callahan has a diverse work experience spanning several educational institutions. In 2019, they joined the Beaverton School District as a Special Education Teacher. Prior to this, they worked at the Serendipity Center starting in 2005 as a Teacher. From 2001 to 2004, Barbara worked at Parsippany Hills high school as a secondary teacher. During their time there, they taught English, Speech, and Drama, and also managed the theatre department.

Barbara Callahan holds a Master of Science (MS) degree in Special Education and Teaching, which they obtained from Western Governors University from 2014 to 2016. Prior to that, they pursued their interest in media arts at The New School from 1989 to 1991, earning a Master's degree. In 1976, Barbara completed their Bachelor's degree in Communication arts from Marist College. Additionally, they pursued a Doctor of Education (Ed.D) in Language Education at Rutgers University, although the start and end years for this degree are not provided.
