Jake Doherty

Jake Doherty has a diverse work experience. Jake started as an Intramural Sports Official at Oregon State University from September 2014 to June 2016. After that, they worked as a club splash after school staff at THPRD from October 2016 to December 2018. In 2017, they became an Instructor at Mathnasium - The Math Learning Center, where they taught until August 2020. Additionally, they had a student teaching role at Southridge High School from August 2019 to June 2020, where they developed lesson plans, co-taught Algebra, Geometry, and Statistics, and took full responsibility for classes during the transition to distance learning due to COVID-19. Currently, they work as a Mathematics Teacher at the Beaverton School District starting from August 2020.

Jake Doherty completed a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics from George Fox University, where they studied from 2016 to 2019. Jake then pursued a Master of Education (MEd) degree at Portland State University, attending from 2019 to 2020.
