James Testa has a diverse work experience. James started their career in 2010 as a Summer Camp Counselor at Tualatin Hills Park and Recreation District, where they worked with middle school students and managed daily activities. In 2012, they worked as an Order Picker at Core-Mark International and as a Teacher at Little Darlings Preschool, where they taught a daily curriculum and supervised children.
From 2012 to 2014, they were an Outside Linebackers Coach for the Beaverton High School football program, responsible for planning practices and game strategies. James also attended coaching clinics for professional development.
In 2015, James began working at Monterey Peninsula Unified School District as a High School Social Studies Teacher, teaching subjects like AP World History and Psychology/Sociology. James also taught at Monterey High School Football as the Defensive Coordinator/DB-WR Coach, where they coordinated the defense, scouted opponents, and organized game plans.
From 2016 to 2018, they served as the Head Coach for Monterey High School Track and Field, overseeing operations and coaching. Finally, in 2018, James joined Beaverton School District as a Social Studies Teacher and High School Social Studies Teacher/Assistant Coach.
Throughout their career, James demonstrated strong leadership and coaching skills, as well as a commitment to professional development and student success.
James Testa attended Beaverton High School from 2004 to 2008, where they received their high school diploma. James then went on to complete their Bachelor's Degree at Linfield University from 2008 to 2012, majoring in History. Afterward, they pursued higher education and obtained a Master's Degree in Teaching from George Fox University from 2013 to 2015.
