John Wickham

6th Grade Science Instructor at Beaverton School District

John Wickham has a diverse work experience that spans over several years. John has worked as a 6th grade science instructor, a science teacher, and a technology instructor at Beaverton School District from 2000 to the present. John also worked as a web design professor at Portland Community College starting in 2001. In addition, from 2001 to 2017, they were a co-owner and operator of Blueberry Hollow Farm, where they produced organic blueberries, eggs, and more. Before that, they worked at Dubuque Community School District as a teacher and student TV news advisor, where they instructed and advised middle school students on the production of a live daily TV news program. John also wrote and received a $10,000 grant to build a TV studio in their science classroom.

John Wickham earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education from the University of Iowa between 1982 and 1987. John later pursued a Master of Arts degree in Educational Technology from the University of Northern Iowa, completing their studies between 1997 and 2000.
