Amarys Mayes

Amarys Mayes has a diverse work experience in software quality assurance and testing. Amarys worked as a Lead Software (SQA) Engineer at Beazer Homes since 2020. Prior to that, Amarys held the role of Lead Software QA Engineer at Booz Allen Hamilton from 2014 to 2020. In this role, Amarys played a key role in manual and automated testing of REST API's for government software projects. Before joining Booz Allen Hamilton, Amarys worked as a Senior Software QA Engineer at SPARC, an Agile Systems Delivery Hub of Booz Allen Hamilton, from 2014 to 2017. Amarys was involved in testing the Veterans Benefits Management System (VBMS) program using agile development methodologies. Amarys also has experience as an Automated Test Engineer at Engility Corporation from 2013 to 2014, where they developed and executed automated test scripts for Oracle EBS application. Prior to that, Amarys worked as a Senior Software (SQA) Analyst at Symantec from 2009 to 2013, where they wrote and executed test scripts for complex software capabilities. Amarys also worked as a Web Analyst at Walt Disney Internet Group from 2008 to 2009, where they extensively tested internet applications and reported their functionality. Lastly, Amarys has experience as an Embedded Software Quality Assurance Tester at Electronic Arts from 2006 to 2007, where they conducted testing on various platforms and decomposed requirements into test conditions and cases.

Amarys Mayes earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University. Amarys also obtained a certification in Big Data Specialization from the University of San Diego in 2015.
