Elizabeth Ortiz is a graduate student at California State University, Northridge, pursuing a Master's degree in Biology under the guidance of thesis advisor Dr. Jonathan Kelber, a position held since January 2022. Prior to this, Elizabeth served as an undergraduate researcher at UC Santa Barbara from September 2018 to March 2019, working with primary investigator Dr. Susan Mazer. Elizabeth earned a Bachelor's degree in Biology from UC Santa Barbara, completing the program in June 2021.
