Solomon Brett

Solomon Brett is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in project management, planning, and community engagement across various sectors, including local government, civil defence, and defence forces. Currently serving as Chairman of the Manawatu Defence Hub, Solomon has previously held critical roles such as Principal Planner for Auckland Council, where notable projects included the Stonefields residential development, and as Civil Defence Operations & Logistics Manager for Palmerston North City Council during the NZ National Covid-19 emergency response. With a solid educational background that includes a Master's Degree in Planning Practice from The University of Auckland and multiple diplomas from the Royal New Zealand Police College, Solomon has demonstrated leadership and management skills throughout a career that spans from military service in the New Zealand Defence Force to significant contributions in project strategy and delivery at Beca.
