Jeanne Liston has extensive experience in donor relations and non-profit leadership. Currently serving as a Donor Relations professional at Because International since April 2023 and Head of Donor Care at the Sun Valley Music Festival since November 2022, Jeanne has also held the position of Executive Director at the Blaine County Hunger Coalition from July 2007 to October 2022. In that role, Jeanne fostered community health through food access and addressed food insecurity alongside essential partners. Additionally, Jeanne was a member of the Hunger Relief Task Force, which aimed to eliminate hunger in Idaho, and served on the Partner Advisory Council for The Idaho Foodbank. From August 2003 to July 2007, Jeanne worked as Donor Relations Manager for the Idaho Chapter of The Nature Conservancy. Jeanne holds a Bachelor of Arts in Art from Benedictine College and attended the Kansas City Art Institute.

At Because International, we believe everyone deserves a chance to succeed. A 501(c)(3), our mission is to alleviate poverty by distributing impact products and supporting product-focused entrepreneurs. The Shoe That Grows, our flagship product, grows five sizes and lasts for years, created for kids impacted by poverty. Simple, innovative products like The Shoe That Grows can meet immediate needs of health and safety for children and families in poverty and crisis situations. We’ve learned lots of lessons in the creation, production, and distribution of The Shoe That Grows, and we’ve connected with many other entrepreneurs along the way. This product and process served as a catalyst for the Pursuit Incubator. Our Pursuit Incubator is designed to help entrepreneurs take their innovative products to the next level. The Pursuit Incubator is a digital 10-week mentorship program. Entrepreneurs enter a small cohort and work one-on-one with a CEO advisor. The Pursuit Incubator is uniquely focused on overcoming the challenges to developing affordable manufactured products which have proven market attractiveness and are ready to aim for production at scale. We want every idea to have the best chance at becoming a reality.
