Amanda Chaves

Amanda Chaves is an experienced engineering professional currently serving as an Engineering Manager at Bechtel Plant Machinery, Inc. since September 2011, where responsibilities include overseeing design and procurement for nuclear power plant components in support of the United States Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program. Prior roles include Project Engineer at Moog Inc. focused on the Orion Crew Exploration Vehicle, and various engineering positions at GE Transportation, contributing to Diesel Engine Design and Reliability, as well as internships at Moog Inc. during which Amanda gained hands-on experience in product engineering and manufacturing processes. Amanda holds a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Clarkson University.
