Mark Gibson

Mark Gibson is a Mechanical Engineer at Bechtel Plant Machinery, Inc. since August 2019, focusing on new construction and fleet support for relief valves. Prior to this role, Mark served as a Nuclear Operations Instructor at Westinghouse from October 2010 to June 2019, where responsibilities included teaching nuclear power plant theory, systems, and operations. Mark's career also includes a position as a Customer 1st Leader at Westinghouse Electric Company from July 2008 to October 2010, where efforts were directed toward improving business processes through Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing methodologies. Additionally, Mark has military experience as a Lieutenant Commander in the U.S. Navy Reserve from 2000 to 2006 and as a Submarine Officer in the US Navy from March 1995 to October 2000. Early in the career, Mark held a role as a Design Engineer at Marconi Communications in 2001-2002. Mark holds a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Akron.
