Shane Duncan

Shane Duncan is an Advanced Mechanical Engineer at Bechtel Plant Machinery, Inc. since May 2023, bringing prior experience as a Nuclear Shift Test Engineer and Operations Test Engineer at Newport News Shipbuilding from November 2018 to May 2023. Shane also served as a Teaching Assistant at The University of Akron, where responsibilities included grading assignments and communication for a Dynamics class. Earlier experience includes a Mechanical Engineering Co-op at Fives, where concept design and analysis were conducted, and roles such as Production Worker and Delivery Driver at Home City Ice, along with part-time work as a Student Employee at Zee's Convenient Store. Shane earned a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Akron in 2018.
