Syed Ilyas Ahmed is a Project Calculation Engineer at Becker Marine Systems since June 2023. Prior to this role, Syed completed an internship at Hamburgische Schiffbau-Versuchsanstalt GmbH (HSVA) from January 2022 to June 2023, focusing on propeller testing. In addition, Syed contributed to a master's thesis on the optimization of ice resistance curves using Python and served as a Student Staff member in the Arctic department, developing VBA solutions and participating in ice model testing. Previous experiences include an internship at Ajanta Electricals, where fault diagnostic and prognostic methods were implemented, a bachelor thesis on OEE calculation at Bhupendre Enterprises, and an internship at Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited. Syed holds a Master’s degree in Maritime Engineering from Hochschule Wismar and a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial and Production Engineering from Shri G S Institute of Technology & Science.
