Nick Matthews

Nick Matthews is a seasoned professional in government relations, currently serving as a Senior Government Relations Consultant at Becker & Poliakoff, P.A. since September 2016. Prior experience includes positions as Legislative Coordinator/Lobbyist for Broward County from February 2012 to August 2015, and Chief of Staff in the Florida State Senate from February 2009 to February 2012. In 2010, Nick managed a statewide campaign for the Florida Attorney General. Earlier, as a Political Communications Assistant at DC Navigators, LLC from December 2007 to May 2008, foundational skills in political communications were developed. Educational credentials include a Master’s degree in Applied American Politics and Policy from Florida State University, obtained from 2007 to 2009, and a Bachelor of Science in International Affairs with a Political Science emphasis from the same institution, completed from 2002 to 2006. Nick is an alumnus of Tampa Catholic High School.
