Martin Rostan

Martin Rostan has held several significant roles throughout their work experience. Martin began their career at STA Reutlingen, where they served as a Project Manager and played a crucial role in coordinating the development of the original CANopen fieldbus technology. Martin also led information dissemination efforts for the project.

Rostan then joined Selectron System GmbH as a Marketing Manager, where they oversaw various teams and was responsible for marketing, sales support, technical support, and order processing.

In 1998, Rostan moved to Beckhoff Automation, where they held several positions. Martin started as a Product Manager and later became the Head of Technology Marketing, overseeing the Beckhoff Technology Marketing Team and the Beckhoff Subsidiary Nuremberg. Martin was also in charge of Technology Licensing. Martin'stenure at Beckhoff lasted until December 2020, and their work spanned over 22 years.

Since November 2003, Rostan has been serving as the Executive Director and President of the EtherCAT Technology Group (ETG). Under their leadership, ETG has grown to become the world's largest fieldbus organization, with a membership exceeding 7500 companies from 73 countries. Rostan has been instrumental in launching, structuring, and leading the organization, and they oversee the global ETG team.
