Sarah Thornburgh

Sarah Thornburgh is an experienced quality assurance and product development scientist with a robust background in the diagnostics and medical fields. Currently serving as a Staff Quality Assurance Scientist at Beckman Coulter Diagnostics since April 2019, Sarah leads a ten-person team focused on the verification of immunoassays, collaborates with cross-functional teams on technical issues, and manages direct reports while maintaining critical documents for new development projects. Prior to this role, Sarah worked at Miromatrix Medical Inc. as a Product Development Scientist II, contributing to the expansion of primary cell lines and managing bioreactor systems, and held various positions at Takeda Pharmaceuticals, focusing on quality control and laboratory validation. Sarah began a career at Mayo Clinic as a Lab Assistant, processing clinical specimens while adhering to stringent deadlines. Sarah holds a Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics and Biology, complemented by a minor in Environmental Science from Drake University.
