Christopher Simpson is an experienced engineer with a strong background in research and development within the medical device industry. Currently serving as a Sr R&D Engineer at BD since July 2014, Christopher specializes in drug coating formulations and processes, applying technical expertise to advance design and automation. Previous roles include Engineer III, where responsibilities encompassed leading the design transfer of tri-layer drug coating for implantable catheters, and Sr. Product Engineer, focusing on new product commercialization and engineering projects. Prior experience includes serving as an R&D Engineer at CareFusion and as a Nuclear/Mechanical Engineer at Southern California Edison. Christopher holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from California State Polytechnic University-Pomona.
