Fred Simonsen is an experienced packaging engineering professional with a career spanning over two decades in various leadership roles. Currently serving as Senior Manager of Packaging at BD since August 2022, Fred oversees the Global R&D Packaging Engineering team and the Packaging Testing Lab within the BD Interventional UCC Division. Prior to this, Fred was the Sr Manager of Package Engineering at Abbott Diagnostics Business, where responsibilities included global packaging development and testing. Fred also held the position of Packaging Manager at Lonza, managing a team of Packaging Engineers, and served as Sr Engineer at Procter & Gamble, focusing on R&D package development in the Pet Care sector among other initiatives. Fred holds a Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering from Michigan State University.
