Jesse Smith is a seasoned professional in research and development, currently serving as Sr. R&D Director of Software & Integrated Systems at BD since March 2018, where responsibilities include developing product strategies that meet business objectives and regulatory requirements while leading a diverse engineering team. Previous experience includes roles at Medtronic, where Jesse progressed from Sr. R&D Manager of Surgical Systems to Sr. Electrical Engineer, successfully managing teams in the development of innovative medical devices and leading significant product launches. Jesse's career began as a Senior R&D Design Engineer at Stryker Endoscopy, and educational qualifications include a Master’s degree in Engineering Management from Duke University and a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Brigham Young University.
