Balaji Ponnuswamy

Balaji Ponnuswamy is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in product management and digital strategy, currently serving as Senior Vice President and Head of Products for Financial Health at BECU since May 2019. In this role, Balaji leads teams focused on developing financial and digital products that enhance member financial well-being, while also driving organizational awareness and influencing internal processes towards achieving long-term goals. Prior to BECU, Balaji held various leadership positions at Capital One, where responsibilities included developing product strategies for retirement savings and financial guidance products, enhancing customer experiences through analytics, and managing digital channel strategy. Balaji began a career in technology at Infosys, where skills in software engineering and operational process improvements were honed. Balaji holds an MBA in Finance and Strategy from Vanderbilt University and a Bachelor of Engineering in Manufacturing Engineering from the College of Engineering, Guindy.
