Debasis Rath

Debasis Rath is an accomplished financial services professional with extensive experience in consumer lending and operations. Currently serving as SVP and Head of Consumer Lending at BECU since March 2022, Debasis previously held the role of Managing Director and Head of Personal Loans at Union Bank, where responsibilities included P&L management of unsecured personal loans and product development. Prior to Union Bank, Debasis led new customer portfolio initiatives at Oportun and managed financial operations at Spruce Finance. Experience also includes key positions at Discover Financial Services focusing on product development, and credit risk management at Lasalle Bank. Debasis holds an MBA from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business and advanced degrees in Manufacturing Systems Engineering and Manufacturing Science and Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, respectively.
