Simon Barnes

Simon Barnes is a seasoned network engineering professional with extensive experience in designing and managing complex network systems across various sectors. Currently serving as a Senior Network Engineer at BECU since November 2021, Simon previously held the position of Network Engineer at the University of Washington, where operational support for multiple network sectors was provided. During a significant tenure at Boeing from December 2011 to October 2020, Simon facilitated network design for domestic and international operations, demonstrating leadership in regional network initiatives and contributing to the successful deployment of the NetWinds Initiative. With a foundational background in LAN/WAN management, troubleshooting, and system administration, Simon has also engaged with various organizations, including Quality Technology Inc. and Marymount University. Simon holds a BSc in Environmental Studies and Technology from The Open University and has continued professional development through Global Knowledge.
