Alison Ivatt (nee Ramshaw) has extensive experience in environmental management and law enforcement. Since April 2010, Alison has served as the Manager for Grounds Maintenance Parks & Open Spaces at Bedford Borough Council, overseeing various frontline services including Grounds Maintenance, Street Cleansing, and community volunteering. Previously, Alison held the position of Environmental Services Manager, where responsibilities included managing environmental enforcement and public conveniences. Prior to this, Alison worked at Peterborough City Council as the Environmental Enforcement Team Leader, focusing on issues such as fly-tipping and littering. Alison began their career as a Police Constable with Cambridgeshire Constabulary and worked as a Photographic Interpreter for the RAF. Alison's education was completed at Ellington Girls School between 1979 and 1983.
