Kate McNeely

Kate McNeely has extensive experience in educational leadership and teaching, currently serving as Principal at Big Island Elementary School and Principal at the Alternative Education Center & Bedford Connects since July 2019. Previous roles include Learning Coach and Competency Designer, where Kate focused on curriculum development in social studies and provided teacher resources. Earlier teaching positions at Chesapeake Public Schools, Albemarle County Public Schools, Berkeley County School District, and Chugach School District involved teaching language arts and social studies across various grade levels, emphasizing project-based learning and competency-based systems. Kate McNeely holds a Master's degree in Administration and Supervision from the University of Virginia and a degree in Secondary Education & English from Vanderbilt University.
