Julie Ridge

Julie Ridge is the Director of External Relations at Bedford Modern School. Julie has over fifteen years of experience in communications and public engagement, having worked in both the public and private sector.

Julie began their career in the NHS, working in a variety of communications roles before becoming the Director of Communications and Public Engagement for NHS Bedfordshire. In this role, they were responsible for all aspects of the organisation's communications strategy, including media relations, social marketing, and campaigns. Julie also oversaw the public engagement strategy, including public affairs and consultations.

In 2012, Julie moved to the Health Education East of England, where they were Head of Communications and Engagement. In this role, they were responsible for all aspects of the organisation's communications strategy, including media relations, social marketing, and campaigns. Julie also oversaw the public engagement strategy, including public affairs and consultations.

In 2013, Julie took on the role of Associate Director at NHS Midlands and East. In this role, they were responsible for all aspects of the organisation's communications strategy, including media relations, social marketing, and campaigns. Julie also oversaw the public engagement strategy, including public affairs and consultations.

Julie is a highly experienced communications and engagement professional with a proven track record in delivering successful campaigns and initiatives. Julie is passionate about education and making a difference in the lives of young people.

Julie Ridge attended Rochester Grammar School before completing a Higher Diploma in Public Relations and Advanced Diploma in Communication Studies at Cambridge Marketing College. Julie then went on to study for a BA (Hons) in Japanese and Linguistics at The University of Sheffield.
