Sahar Simmons

Sahar Simmons has extensive experience in marketing and communications, having held the role of Director of Marketing and Communications at Bedford Stuyvesant Restoration Corporation since February 2023. Sahar also worked as a Producer/Writer for a company called Producer since December 2014. In addition, Sahar founded the Mobile Movie Makers Youth Film Competition & Festival in September 2017, which aims to support and nurture young filmmakers. Before that, they served as the CEO of Briana's Neighborhood Multicultural Children's Brand & Dare to Dream Foundation, a nonprofit organization providing positive workshops and professional development for youth with multi-cultural backgrounds. Prior to that, Sahar was the owner of It's Me Briana, LLC, where they authored and created Briana's Neighborhood Children's Book Series and Brand. Sahar also briefly worked as an Accountant at Film Independent from July 2019 to November 2019.

Sahar Simmons attended Hampton University in 1996 and studied Mass Communications/PR.
