Mohammed Nayeem Quraishi

CEO, Energy at Bee'ah

Mohammed Nayeem Quraishi is an engineer with nearly forty years of experience in the energy and desalination industry. As the Managing Director of Technical Projects he is responsible for managing all the technical, procurement, construction and operational aspects of the venture. He is also responsible for technical aspects of various projects under development at Bee’ah, including solar energy and Bee’ah’s master plan development.

A graduate in engineering with honours from the prestigious JN Technological University, India, he has spent most of his professional life in utility projects development – from concept to realisation. After graduation he was selected by Tata Consulting Engineers as a team member for India's first 500MW unit at Trombay.

In 1981 he joined the Ministry of Electricity and Water UAE and held a number of executive positions with them before he was appointed as the Executive Chief Engineer with the UAE’s Federal Electricity and Water Authority.

During his service with UAE federal authorities, Mr Quraishi was responsible for engineering, contract negotiations, construction management and successful completion of several power and desalination plants worth more than USD 1.2 billion.

He has received several commendations for his professional achievements and has an extensive working relationship with industry giants such as GE, Siemens, EGT, Alstom, Areva, ABB, SGB, NE, Sidem and Sasakura.

Prior to joining Bee’ah, in 2013, he has served as Technical Adviser to the Government of Ajman, as well being a promoter and developer for conventional and renewable energy plants in African countries.
