Jake Thompson has a wealth of experience in user experience design and other roles. Starting in 2010, they were an intern Design Assistant at Group Lotus, where they were responsible for modelling clay iterations of the prototype Exige model, refining models and concepts based on feedback from stakeholder crits, and assisting in bringing concepts from brief to reality. In 2012, they became a Healthcare Assistant at Westward Healthcare, providing care and support for adults with Autism and learning difficulties. In 2015, they were a Duty Manager at the University of Sussex Students' Union. In 2016, they were a Junior Designer at i-ride.co.uk, where they researched and designed eCommerce web pages, 2017/18 print catalogues and brand material. Jake also facilitated the redesign of the i-Ride website. In 2018, they became a UX consultant for international BFSI, government and e-commerce clients at Tata Consultancy Services, where they led the user research and UX design of the Natwest Housemates app. In 2020, they became a User Experience Designer at Beeline, where they are responsible for design and research strategies, facilitating and analysing user feedback, refining personas and journey maps, running design sprints, creating concepts, wireframes, UI and analysing product metrics. Additionally, they were a Guest Speaker at a UX Crunch session in 2020, speaking on the topic of Data in Design.
Jake Thompson attended University of Sussex from 2014 to 2018, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Product Design with Industrial Placement. Prior to that, they attended Wymondham College from 2005 to 2012.
