Full Stack Engineer at Before You Bid

Akram I. has had a varied work experience since 2014. Akram began their career as a Production Assistant at Hunter Douglas, where they were responsible for sorting, scanning and processing customer orders, interacting with assemblers for the re-processing of damaged components, and reporting material availability. In 2017, they became a Tutor at CodeSpace Education, where they taught a class of 10-20 children (ages 7-13) to code using a range of different software and provided a presentation to parents at the end of each workshop. In 2018, they joined GoCanvas as a Customer Support Specialist. From 2019 to 2021, Akram I. worked at three different companies. At fixitfaster, they were a Frontend Developer and refactored internal application structure to improve efficiency and responsiveness, improved several key application features, constructed several re-usable components, implemented approximately 90% of the application's UI, and closed over 40% of application related issues and change requests. At Metigy, they were a Junior Full-Stack Developer and enhanced website login and signup form functionality, implemented core application UI elements using React, and implemented end-to-end tests using Cypress for both the core application and website. Finally, at Before You Bid, they were a Full Stack Engineer and assumed responsibility for the business' React Native project, as well as had the opportunity to expand their skill-set and transition into becoming a full-stack web-developer.

Akram I. obtained a Bachelor of Computer Science from Western Sydney University between 2015 and 2018. In 2019, Akram I. completed a Full-Stack JavaScript Techdegree from Treehouse. Additionally, Akram I. has obtained several certifications from LinkedIn, including AWS and React: Creating Full-Stack Apps (obtained in September 2022), Building Serverless Apps on AWS (obtained in October 2019), Become a Front-End Web Developer (obtained in July 2019), Become a React Developer (obtained in July 2019), Improve Your JavaScript Language Skills (obtained in July 2019), and Learning Redux (obtained in July 2019).
