Jan Nierop

Jan Nierop is a seasoned compliance professional with extensive experience in the financial sector, currently serving as a Compliance Officer at BeFrank since March 2021. Prior to this role, Jan held various positions including Toezichthouder Pensioenen at Autoriteit Financiële Markten and Toezichthouder specialist at De Nederlandsche Bank, where responsibilities included pension law and project leadership. Jan’s career began in the late 1990s at ING, progressing through roles in legal and compliance functions across multiple organizations. Jan possesses a Master's degree in Law from the University of Amsterdam and has furthered expertise with certifications from NCI Nederlands Compliance Instituut and a Masterclass in Privacy & Compliance from Erasmus University Rotterdam.
