Tess Zaretsky

Tess Zaretsky has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. In 2011, they started their career as a Student Ambassador and Tour Guide at Tulane University, where they worked until 2015. Following this, Tess worked as a Teaching Assistant at R.E.A.D. NOLA from 2014 to 2015. In 2015, they joined the U.S. Department of State as an English Teaching Assistant, Fulbright Korea, where they taught ESL to over 400 students in two public middle schools and developed an arts education curriculum for high-achieving English students. Tess then moved on to City Year, working as a Program Manager from 2016 to 2017. From 2018 to 2020, they worked at EducationSuperHighway as a Senior Consultant and later as a Consultant. In 2019, Tess also served as a Visiting Fellow at Education Pioneers. Tess then joined murmuration in 2020 as a Senior Partnership Success Manager before transitioning to Strategic Partnerships at EducationSuperHighway in 2021. Tess is currently employed at BEGiN as a Strategic Account Executive, a role they began in July 2022.

Tess Zaretsky attended Northern Highlands Regional High School from 2007 to 2011, where they did not obtain a degree or specify a field of study. From 2011 to 2015, they pursued a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Communications and English at Tulane University. In 2013, Tess briefly studied Communications and Dutch Studies at the University of Amsterdam. In 2015, they also had a short-term enrollment at Korea University. Tess obtained additional certifications, including a 2015-2016 Fulbright Scholarship from the U.S. Department of State and a Teaching English as a Foreign Language certification from ITTT - International TEFL & TESOL training.
