Carli Romero

Carli Romero is a professional with extensive experience in community engagement and behavior support. Since February 2017, Carli has served as a Registered Behavior Technician at the Behavior Change Institute, focusing on behavior development for children on the autism spectrum. Between 2012 and 2016, Carli held various roles, including Secretary on the Board of Directors at Comunidades en Accion y de Fe, where efforts contributed to raising the minimum wage in Las Cruces and advancing immigration justice and economic equity. Additionally, as the New Mexico Founder and Regional Director of Shakti Rising, Carli launched initiatives aimed at promoting community well-being and supporting women and children. Carli has also successfully managed civic engagement campaigns to increase voter registration and has gained valuable experience through roles in educational settings and internships. Carli holds a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership and Administration from the University of New Mexico and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from New Mexico State University.
