Bianca Mickan

Bianca Mickan has extensive experience working in the mental health field. Bianca started their career as a Counselor at Glick House Counseling Center from 2009 to 2012. Bianca then worked as a Licensed Professional Counselor at Wise Regional Health System from 2013 to 2017. During the same period, they also served as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate under the supervision of Dr. Linda Metcalf. From 2013 to 2020, they worked as a Psychotherapist at Wise Regional Behavioral Health and as a Group Counselor at Pathways Dual Diagnosis Intensive Outpatient Program. In 2017, they joined Behavioral Health Connections as a Manager of Business Relations and Therapist, and later became the Program Director. Bianca is currently working as a Psychotherapist in private practice at Dr. Messina & Associates.

Bianca Mickan obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Texas State University in 2007. Bianca then pursued a Master of Science degree in Marriage and Family Therapy/Counseling at Texas Wesleyan University from 2009 to 2012. Bianca continued their education at Texas Wesleyan University and earned a PhD in Marriage and Family Therapy/Counseling from 2014 to 2018. Bianca Mickan also holds a certification as a Licensed Professional Counselor from the Texas State Board of Examiners of Professional Counselors.
