Ian Harrel

COO at Behavioral Health Resources

Ian has over 25 years of experience in the behavioral health field. He has been in leadership roles at BHR for more than 14 years and has devoted his entire career to working in community behavioral health organizations. He started at BHR as the Manager of Emergency Services, transitioned to Director of Acute and Recovery Services, and then to Chief Operating Officer. He began his post master's degree experience as a child and family therapist in eastern Washington. He worked providing clinical and crisis services for several years in several counties across the state before transitioning into leadership roles. Ian received his undergraduate degree in social work from the University of Montana and his master's degree in social work from Walla Walla College. He is a licensed independent clinical social worker and a child mental health specialist. As Chief Operating Officer, Ian is responsible for the full continuum of clinical and operational services BHR provides.
