Maninder Kahlon is a systems and behavioral neuroscientist, technology innovator, and professor who currently serves as founder and CEO of beheld. They are scaling a remotely delivered, tech-enabled mental health-first service that translates the science of empathy into medical outcomes and partners with health systems to fund and scale this approach, with initial contracts in maternal health and diabetes management for Medicaid populations. They previously served as founding Vice Dean of Dell Medical School at UT Austin (2014–2024) and directed Factor Health Labs, and held leadership roles at UCSF, including Executive Director of the Clinical & Translational Sciences Institute and Chief Information Officer. They are a board member of CaroNova and earned a PhD in Neuroscience from UCSF.
