Caitlyn Cummings has held various roles in the marketing and public relations industries since 2014. In 2014, they worked as an Account Executive at Inspire PR, a pre-professional public relations organization at the University of Iowa. In 2015, they worked as a Marketing Communications Intern at Medline Industries, Inc. In 2016, they worked as a Social Media Specialist at Iowa Journalist Magazine and a Media Relations Intern at PAWS Chicago. In 2017, they worked as a Social Media Marketing Intern at European Famous Brands LLC and a Marketing Communications Intern at Celtic Chicago, Inc. Since 2018, they have been working at behindthechair.com as an Influencer Marketing Manager, Assistant Manager, Relations Coordinator, and Associate. During their time at behindthechair.com, they have managed a roster of 150+ influencers and developed and executed influencer marketing campaigns for clients such as L'Oreal, Redken, Moroccanoil, American Crew and BaByliss.

Caitlyn Cummings attended Marist High School from 2010 to 2014, and then the University of Iowa from 2014 to 2018, where they studied Journalism & Mass Communications and Entrepreneurial Management. In October 2017, they obtained a certification in Office 365: Learning Excel from Lynda.com.
