Mengran Qian has a diverse work experience in the field of biomedical research. They started their career as a PHD student at the Institute Pasteur of Shanghai, Chinese Academy of Sciences, where they focused on characterizing human monoclonal neutralizing antibodies against influenza H5N1 virus. They also contributed to mapping the neutralizing epitope of one of these antibodies. After completing their PHD, Mengran Qian joined the DKFZ German Cancer Research Center as a postdoc. Here, they investigated the role of mis-match repair deficiency in immune checkpoint blockade therapy against glioblastoma. They conducted experiments on mice models to induce glioblastoma and studied the knockdown of mis-match repair genes in vivo. Currently, they are working at BeiGene as a Principal Investigator, although specific details about this role are not provided.
Mengran Qian obtained a Bachelor's degree in life science from Fudan University from 2006 to 2010. Upon completion, Mengran went on to pursue a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Microbiology at the Institut Pasteur of Shanghai, Chinese Academy of Sciences, without specifying the end year.
