Richard Koontz

Richard Koontz is a skilled Field Application Engineer at Beijer Electronics since September 2021, with a robust background in software controls and engineering management cultivated during a decade at NOV. Richard progressed within NOV from a Control Systems Engineer to Software Controls Engineering Manager, where management of an international team focused on controls engineering projects was a key responsibility. As a founding member of the AACD business unit, Richard contributed to the advancement of software control products for various Intervention and Stimulation Equipment. Prior experience includes software and systems engineering roles at Lockheed Martin, involving NASA projects and trajectory analysis, alongside preliminary missile design at Raytheon Missiles & Defense. Richard holds a Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering and a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, both from Cornell University.
