Vikram Widge

Vikram Widge is a Senior Advisor in Climate Finance at Climate Policy Initiative since January 2020, focusing on strategy and financial aspects of analytical work. Additionally, Widge serves as an Advisory Board Member for GoImpact, guiding the acceleration of sustainable development in the Asia Pacific, and for arara.io, supporting climate action-linked supply chain financing. Widge was a Senior Fellow at the Atlantic Council from November 2019 to August 2023, advising on financial structures for resilience and impact investment. Prior experience includes serving as Global Head of Climate Finance & Policy at the International Finance Corporation from September 2010 to October 2019, where innovative financial solutions for low-carbon development were developed and mobilized. Widge holds a B Tech in Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, and a Master’s in Resource Economics from the University of Maryland.
