Raoul Bollen

Raoul Bollen is an experienced human resources professional with extensive leadership roles in various organizations. Currently serving as an External member of the Advisory Board at be/impact and a Business Advisor for Elephants for Africa since October 2023, Bollen previously held the position of Manager HR Strategy and Functional Discipline Head at Petroleum Development Oman from April 2019 to October 2024. With a significant tenure at Shell from January 2001 to April 2019, Bollen advanced through roles including Vice President of Human Resources for the Middle East & Caspian, overseeing HR operations across ten countries, and Country HR Manager for Egypt and the MENA region. Bollen's career also includes management roles at Shell Martinez Refinery and Shell Chemicals Europe, addressing complex industrial relations and strategic HR challenges. Bollen holds a Master's degree in International Business from Maastricht University, earned between 1995 and 2000.
