Gérard van der Burg

Gérard van der Burg is an accomplished infrastructure and application hosting architect with extensive experience in IT architecture and consulting, currently serving as an Infra-Application-Hosting Architect at Belastingdienst since September 2024. Previously, Gérard held the position of Senior ICT Architect specializing in IT Innovation and Portfolio Management at Coöperatie VGZ from November 2023 to September 2024. With a notable tenure at Microsoft from January 2009 to November 2023 as a Senior Technical Architect and Datacenter Evangelist, Gérard has worked closely with high-profile clients, educating them on cloud solutions. Early career experiences include roles at Avanade and Capgemini as an infrastructure architect and engineer, as well as foundational positions in field engineering and technical sales at Triple P, Info'Products, and Entre Computer Center.
