Koen Vierendeels

Koen Vierendeels has worked with various companies in different roles throughout their career. From 2019, they have been with Belfius, where they served as the Head of Transaction Banking and previously worked as the Head of Trade Finance. Prior to that, they worked at KBC Bank & Verzekering from 2011 to 2019, taking on roles such as Head of Collections & Working Capital Solutions, Head of BU Policy & Support - Global Trade Finance, Head of Marketing & Communication Agency, and Segment Proposition Manager. In 2018, they were a Co-founder and alternate Director at we.trade, and from 2010 to 2011, they worked as a Manager at weave. Their earliest work experience dates back to 2004 when they joined SWIFT, where they held roles such as Marketing Manager Investment Funds, Pricing Manager, and Business Analyst Finance.

Koen Vierendeels has a diverse education history. From 1999 to 2004, they attended the Catholic University of Leuven, where they earned a Master's degree in Commercial Engineering with a specialty in Finance. In 2009, they enrolled at the Solvay Business School and completed the Transconstellation Programme, focusing on General Management. Koen then pursued a different field of study, attending Syntra from 2011 to 2014, where they acquired knowledge in sommelier training. Their most recent educational endeavor occurred in 2019 when they obtained a Certificate of Participation in Digital Leadership from Vlerick Business School.
