Belgium's 40 under 40
Sana Afouaiz is the Founder and CEO of Womenpreneur-Initiative, a non-profit organization established in October 2016 that focuses on empowering women in entrepreneurship, technology, and society, primarily in Belgium and the MENA region, having trained over 19,000 women to date. In addition to this role, Sana serves as an advisor for the Government of the Brussels-Capital Region's Conseil bruxellois pour l’Égalité entre les Femmes et les Hommes and is an advisory board member for the Alliance for Gender Equality in Europe. With numerous accolades including being recognized as a 40 under 40 Fellow and an Influential Woman by RTBF, Sana also holds positions such as Crans Montana Leader and jury member for the Fonds Reine Mathilde at the King Baudouin Foundation. Sana's commitment to women's issues extends to being an advisor for UN Women and a board member for BECI. As an author of "Invisible Women of the Middle East," Sana has traveled extensively to highlight the stories of women across diverse realities in the region. Educationally, Sana holds a Master’s degree in Political Science and Government.
