Sherry Niessen currently serves as Vice President of Proteomics at Belharra Therapeutics, a position held since November 2021, where oversight of the chemoproteomic platform is a key responsibility. Prior to this, Sherry Niessen worked at Pfizer from December 2012 to November 2021, advancing through roles from Senior Scientist to Associate Research Fellow. Sherry Niessen also contributed as a Staff Scientist at The Scripps Research Institute between 2008 and 2012, where establishment of a dynamic proteomics center to support academic and industry research was a significant achievement. Educational credentials include a Ph.D. in Biology from Scripps Research (2004-2008), an M.Sc. in Experimental Medicine from McGill University (2000-2003), and a B.Sc. in Biochemistry from Simon Fraser University.
