Kay Vermeil

Kay Vermeil has a diverse range of work experience in the field of video editing and production. They began their career as a Production Intern at PCH FILMS INC, where they worked directly with producers and gained experience in script/book coverage, filing, and assisting with transportation and deliveries. They then joined THE DONNA KANTER COMPANY INC as a Production Assistant, assisting in the creation of a documentary feature.

In 2017, Vermeil worked as an Audio Engineer at Red Cup Agency, honing their skills in audio production. They then transitioned to Capitol Records, where they held various roles. As a Digital Marketing Intern, they worked with the content creation team Ten Cubed, producing short-form content for the artists of Capitol Records. Their tasks included creating pitch decks, writing scripts, shooting interviews, and editing content for platforms such as Spotify, YouTube, and Apple Music. They later became a Coordinator, responsible for project organization and assisting with video editing.

Vermeil's responsibilities expanded when they became a Senior Coordinator and Video Editor at Capitol Records. In this role, they extensively worked on video editing using Adobe Premiere and After Effects, creating music videos, behind-the-scenes documentaries, advertisements, and live performances. They also handled significant project organization, hard drive storage, and final file delivery.

In 2020, Vermeil joined DEFIENT.co as a Video Editor and Director. Their work involved using Adobe Premiere and After Effects for various projects, such as animated music videos, motion graphics, social media advertisements, short-form narrative content, and documentaries. They gained expertise in working with proxies.

Currently, Vermeil is employed at Believe Limited as a Video Editor and Writer, starting in 2022.

Kay Vermeil attended the University of Southern California from 2015 to 2019, where they pursued a Bachelor's of Fine Arts in Cinematography and Film/Video Production.
