KATHRYN FERGUSON is an award-winning director and documentary filmmaker and a Film Research Fellow at the London College of Fashion. Her documentaries, music videos, fashion films, and commercials have been screened globally on platforms such as the BBC, Nowness, Dazed and i-D and have won her numerous awards. Kathryn spent several years working as Selfridges’ Resident Film Director and has leant her talents to International brands and musicians including Nike, Amnesty International, Selfridges, Vogue, Air France, Girls Who Code, Chloé, Sinead O’Connor and Lady Gaga. Her work often carries a socio-political message and focuses on representations of the real by featuring stories of people who are not generally represented in the widespread media, challenging non-inclusive tropes within advertising, fashion and music. Kathryn is currently working on two new projects including a new documentary short for The Guardian’s documentary film series with Passion Pictures that is due to be released in 2020 and “Nothing Compares”, a feature documentary on singer-songwriter and activist Sinead O’Connor scheduled for release next year.
