Stefan Römer

Stefan Römer has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Stefan is currently the Head of Corporate Business Development at Belimed AG since October 2021. Prior to this, they had a sabbatical from April 2021 to September 2021. Before their sabbatical, Stefan worked as the Head of R&D Digital Solutions at Belimed AG, where they had responsibilities such as system architecture, development team management, and stakeholder management. Stefan also played a vital role in the development of the Smart Hub 2 product and implemented an agile development strategy.

From 2014 to 2019, Stefan held the position of Vice President Quality & Regulatory at Belimed AG. Before joining Belimed AG, they worked as the Vice President of Development & Technology at Swisstronics Contract Manufacturing AG from 2003 to 2013. Prior to that, they served as the Head of Technology and Manufacturing Test Engineering at Siemens Schweiz AG, Elektronikfertigung from 2001 to 2003. Stefan also worked as the Development Site Manager at Siemens Schweiz AG, Elektronikhaus from 1999 to 2001.

Stefan'scareer started at Siemens Schweiz AG, Entwicklung Übertragungssysteme, where they worked as a Project Manager from 1995 to 1999 and as a Hardware Development Engineer from 1993 to 1994. Throughout their career, Stefan has gained extensive experience in various aspects of business development, research and development, quality assurance, regulatory affairs, and technology management.

Stefan Römer attended EPFL (École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne) in 1987, where they studied Elektrotechnik, Eletronik und Kommunikationstechnik. However, no degree is specified for this period. Stefan then went on to ETH Zürich from 1988 to 1993, where they obtained a Dipl. Ing. ETH (Master of Science (MSc)) in the field of Elektrotechnik, Eletronik und Kommunikationstechnik.
