Principal Engineer - System Safety at Bell Flight

David Cummins has a strong background in system safety engineering, with experience in various aerospace companies. David is currently working as a Principal Engineer - System Safety at Bell Flight, where they support the Bell V-280 FLRAA program. David'srole involves developing the FLRAA CSI Program and Control Plan, and they work with a range of safety standards and regulations.

David also participated in flight testing and played a key role in supporting projects such as the Wildcat overseas hot and high flight test team.

Cummins began their career at QinetiQ as a Graduate Engineering Trainee, where they rotated through various engineering roles, including flight physics, mechanical engineering, safety engineering, and practical flight trials work. Notably, they provided direct support to the Lynx AH Mk9A UOR and Mk9A weapon system upgrades.

David Cummins completed their undergraduate education at The University of Salford from 2004 to 2008, earning a degree in Aeronautical Engineering. In 2010, they attended Henley Business School, obtaining a Postgraduate Certificate in Management in 2011. Additionally, they received a certification as a Chartered Engineer from the Engineering Council in 2016.
