James Wasko currently serves as the Future Vertical Lift Reliability and Maintainability Engineering Manager at Bell Flight, where responsibilities include overseeing R&M engineering for the FLRAA (V-280) program since September 2022. Prior to this, Wasko held various leadership roles at Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) from August 2012 to August 2022, including the H-53 E/K Fleet Support Team Lead Engineer and Reliability & Maintainability Division Director, overseeing engineering products and managing large teams of engineers. Other significant positions at NAVAIR included V-22 R&M Maintainability Lead, where efforts resulted in substantial reductions in scheduled maintenance costs, and Systems Engineering Division Director, managing Service Change Request reviews. Wasko began a career in engineering with several roles at NAVAIR from April 2002 to May 2012, primarily focusing on V-22. Wasko holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Industrial/Systems Engineering from North Carolina State University.
