Karl Burge

Karl Burge is an experienced aerospace engineer with a career at Bell Flight spanning over two decades, where currently serves as Chief Engineer for the 412. Karl has held various roles, including Technical Project Management, leading multiple successful projects such as the 412EPX Crash Resistant Fuel System and the 412EPI/EPX Large Auxiliary Fuel Tank. As a Propulsion & Thermal Subject Matter Expert, Karl conducted comprehensive thermal analyses for military and commercial aircraft, notably the 407GXi for the US Navy. Additional expertise includes overseeing the Bell 525 Propulsion Analysis and leading cross-functional teams for STC projects. Prior to Bell Flight, Karl worked as an Aircraft Systems Certification Specialist at Sino Swearingen Aircraft Corporation and held positions that involved thermal analysis and engine integration. Karl's career began in the United States Air Force as an Avionics Communications Specialist. Karl holds a Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering from The University of Texas at Arlington.
